If you want to escape the hubbub of Halloween and relax along the North Wales coast, West Point holiday parks in Snowdonia is the perfect place for you. That’s not to say that you can’t still enjoy the spooky season though!
Sometimes it can be sadly too easy to let Halloween pass you by, but for helping you to bond with loved ones and being given free sweets in the process, there’s no better evening! Here are a few simple tips to make the most out of October 31st this year.
1. Dressing up? Think outside the box.
The world has plenty of Jack Sparrows as it is – why not think of something really unique to wear this All Hallow’s Eve? If you’re stuck for time and money, there are plenty of great articles out there which show you how to cut some corners on a tight budget without looking like it’s something you’ve just thrown together.
2. Decorate your house.
You should think of Halloween as a trial run for Christmas (still too soon?) in terms of decorating and sprucing up your household. Even if it’s just a few fake cobwebs here and there or a couple of decorations on a mantelpiece, it’s a great way to get you in the mood for horror!
3. Carve a pumpkin.
Our sister park, Morfa Lodge, have compiled this great article on how to carve a pumpkin and you could argue that Halloween isn’t quite the same without them. It’s a lot simpler than you’d think and stepping back from your creation to admire it quite rewarding, especially when you’ve been carving with the kids.
4. Dose up on sweets.
You don’t get too many arguments for eating handfuls of sweets at a time so make sure you relish Halloween. We promise not to judge if you change your mind about handing out sweets to trick and treaters and just eating the haul to yourself.
5. Take the kids trick or treating.
All kids should have the joy of making the rounds around the neighbourhood at least once and it’s a custom that’s still popular even to this day. What better excuse for dressing up and pinching all their sweets at the same time are you likely to get?
