6 Activities for your North Wales break this Easter 2016

Evening HorizonEaster is soon arriving, which means that many will enjoy a few days off. We hope that with the long weekend break comes good weather, ensuring everyone has a wonderful time and some much needed sun.

Many visitors to holiday parks North Wales are keen to give some of the attractions and activities that North Wales has been so blessed to have. We have thrown a few ideas together for you guys to check out in the region.

As this year is officially names the ‘Wales Year of Adventure’ we have given our quick list an ‘adrenaline North Wales’ theme, so some of it will entail some of that!

Idea 1: Day out at Dragon Raiders Activity Park

Around 20 minutes away by car, Dragon Raiders Activity Park is a great choice for group activities Snowdonia. Their park has paintballing, Segway adventures and even a Bear Grylls Survival Course that can all be booked in advance. These activities are a great way for those thrill seekers to let of some steam and enjoy the North Wales and Snowdonia surroundings at the same time.

Idea 2: Relax on Welsh railway rides

North Wales and Snowdonia have some beautiful steam trains, many of which hold significant cultural and classical esteem. With both Llanberis Lake Railway and Welsh Highland Railway approximately 30 minutes’ drive away, there are opportunities to enjoy a ride along the glorious Welsh countryside.

Idea 3: Feel the intensity of flying over a quarry at Zip World

For the brave, you can easily get to Zip World by car taking around 45 minutes. In the heart of Snowdonia you’ll find Europe’s biggest and fastest zip line. You’ll be strapped in and sent on a flying journey over the slate quarries and its excellent scenery. There are a range of zip lines suitable for different ages, so a group of you will love this activity. In the same location you’ll find Bounce Below, an underground, in-cave trampoline city!

Idea 4: Enjoy sunset walk across Dinas Dinlle

One of our favourites, Dinas Dinlle is located with us at West Point Holiday Park North Wales. Wandering across the beach on a lovely Easter weekend would be an excellent activity whether it’s for a couple or family. Enjoy coastal views of the region just a few minutes away from your holiday home on our site.

Idea 5: A mind-blowing Electric Mountain Tour

Based in Llanberis, the Electric Mountain is a very unique mountain. Above the lake, this mountain is hollow and homes the largest pumped-storage hydro-electric power station in the whole of Europe. Set among a truly beautiful scenic area, the mountain is interesting both inside and out. You can reach this from West Point Holiday Park North Wales with just a 30 minute drive.

Ideas 6: Explore the offerings of the Greenwood Forest Park

Packed full of activities that are perfect for all of the family, the forest park is a space of never ending fun. From riding roller coasters to exploring the river on jungle boats, there is something for everyone.
