The annual Bangor 10k and half marathon is back!
Participants will start and finish in the city centre, of which the route takes you out through to the coastline, into the glorious Penrhyn Castle Estate and then back to and along the Garth Pier over the Menai Straits. Event takes place on Saturday 8th October.
Runners are going to be able to enjoy the scenic views of Anglesey, Snowdonia and world renowned North Wales coastline before they reach the final finish line. The races will both begin at 10am and run the following costs:
- 10K: Affiliated £20 / Unaffiliated £22 (Minimum age 15)
- Half Marathon: Affiliated £30 / Unaffiliated £32 (Minimum age 17)
The cost of the race entry pass includes a medal, t-shirt and permission to race. The race headquarters is in the Deiniol Centre, Bangor.
There is also a fun run for those that don’t quite fancy the longer races, of which entry is to be made on the day of the races. This fun run begins at 9:15am and will consist of an approximate ½ mile route from the clock to the Skerries, and then back again. The cost for this will be £3 and includes a medal for finishers.
Anyone else that may not want to take part, but rather enjoy the race day atmosphere and support those taking on the challenge are welcome to visit Bangor to watch.
