Family Days Out This Spring!

Family Days Out This Spring!

The sun is shining once again and here at West Point Beach Resort we have collated a selection of events, which we highly recommend visiting during your visit to West Point. Each event is worth the travel and makes for an enjoyable day out with all the family and friends!

The Colwyn Forties Festival of Food and Fun commences on Saturday 18th April 2015 and runs for two days, providing visitors with an array of entertainment. After the success of its previous years, the festival is returning once again for its fourth year. Due to popular demand, you will see the return of the Battle on Colwyn Bay beach which brings an energetic display between the pier and Porth Eirias. There’s also the opportunity to dance the night away at the Ballroom Blitz Dance on the Saturday evening, which is a 1940’s style dance held at Eirias Park complete with live music of the era.

Another popular event is the Rail Ale Festival which starts at the Welsh Highland Railway in Caernarfon. This event goes from strength to strength each year and with this being its eleventh year running, the festival promises a lively weekend. The Ale Festival will combine music, steam trains, real ales and ciders for all to enjoy. This will run from Friday 15th May through to Sunday 17th May 2015.

Although the Victorian town of Llandudno is a longer drive from our holiday homes in Snowdonia, it is worth the journey. The Early May Bank Holiday weekend will see the Victorian Extravaganza Llandudno make another appearance, providing visitors with fun fair rides, costumes, performances and the main parade. The three day event will run from the 2nd-4th May 2015 and each day will see the main parade start at 1pm, therefore there’s no need to worry if you’re not able to attend each day.

The following weekend brings another extravaganza, which is the All Wales Boat Show 2015 taking place in Llŷn Peninsula. This is the fourth year running for this event and is a celebratory festival of all water-based activities and is a unique event brought to the region. This event is a must-visit for any boat owner, watersports-lover or family looking for a fantastic day out!
