Let the Summer Begin at West Point Beach Resort

Evening horizonThe summer is officially here and the weather has been fantastic too, with a great start to the upcoming season. This time of year there is a variety of events in the local area, but also all year round. You’re never short of things to do, places to visit and attractions to see as West Point is located on the beautiful Dinas Dinlle with stunning views.

Our Sister Park, Morfa Lodge Holiday Park in Snowdonia is also nestled in the ideal location with Caernarfon Airport next door and local attractions such as Caernarfon Castle, Bangor Cathedral and Aber Falls all within close proximity. Here we have gathered together a number of upcoming events for you to consider:

With the summer holidays fast approaching, Morfa Lodge has their very own entertainment lined up for you with their popular Hog Roast coming up this weekend. They have a new addition to the park with free public Wi-Fi now available, but more events taking place in The Clubhouse than ever before.

Alternatively, if you are a fan of festivals and lots of music then the Glass Butter Beach Festival on 12th-15th August 2015 is the one for you. West Point is only a short drive from the festival which is held in Abersoch every year, with an array of activities,we music genres and market stall available to enjoy. Each year you can participate in sporting activities, enjoy live music from professor Green who will attending this year amongst many other artists, but also browse the quirky market stalls for gifts.

Another festival in the area is the Awakefest 2015. The Awareness Festival 2015 is teaming up with Glasfryn Wake Parc this month to bring you this fantastic event. The festival is located just outside of the iconic Welsh village of Abersoch. With its world class Wake Boarding Lake, AwakeFest will play host to the Pro & Grass roots wake boarding competitions.

There will be music from many brilliant artists but also live entertainment from comedians, poets and acoustic performers. If that’s not enough, there’s a disco, fairground and full-weekend camping. The great part about this festival is all ticket profits will go towards a number of chosen cancer charities: Tenovus, St.David’s Hospice, Marie Curie, Gafael Llaw, Roy Castle Lung Cancer Fundation, Beating Bowel Cancer and Lyndsey Roughton Purple Heart Brain Tumour Fund.

Whatever you decide to do this summer, be sure to take a look at out touring pitches, holiday homes for sale in North Wales, but also take a look at what deals Morfa Lodge has available for you too.
