There’s more than enough entertainment in and around West Point resort all year round but the holiday season is when it really comes to life and no more so than the season to be frightened.
The Halloween Spooktacular has lots to raise the hairs on the back of your neck this month with so much to do for the whole family. Starting off the holiday nice and early on the 19th of October, this spine-tingling event will be the perfect way to start the kids’ half-term break.
As a popular attraction which is renowned throughout the country for its gorgeous views and wildlife, the Greenwood National Park is the venue for chills galore this year. There are some great crafting activities so the kinds can make their own costumes and lanterns – maybe even a chance for the parents to get creative too!
Harry Potter is always beloved among children and they have the chance to create their very own broomsticks but Quidditch is sadly off the cards. In the spirit of magic, the promise of bringing a witch’s pet to life should be a fantastic activity. Be careful what you create though as there are witches and other ghouls lurking in the forest ready to scare! Don’t worry though, you can blend in perfectly with some face painting fun and they’ll be none the wiser.
The Forest Theatre is the place to be for Ricardo’s Halloween show which is bound to bring lots of scares and laughs to the whole audience. Another occasion not to be missed is the Bird’s Trust bringing along their magnificent owls for your amazement – perhaps Hedwig will be there too!
The fun keeps on coming with the introduction of the world’s one and only rollercoaster powered by people and various other brilliant eco-friendly events, there’ll be plenty for you and the whole family to get stuck into.
After the bones of your body have all been rattled from the horribly good activities, you could refresh yourself with a free hot chocolate if you are in costume.
With all this and more to look forward to, this should be the perfect way to celebrate Halloween this year for the whole family.
