Do you want an endless opportunity for a relaxing getaway at your fingertips? Buying a North Wales holiday home with West Point Holiday Park might just be the answer you’re looking for. Whether it is a weekday break or weekend retreat, holiday homes offer a second life with many people saying that buying a holiday home is the best thing they have ever done.
North Wales is a fantastic place to visit all year round and West Point Holiday Park is in the perfect central location for your ‘home away from home’, being only a short drive away from the Llyn Peninsula, the Isle of Anglesey and Snowdonia National Park. Nearby is the popular coastal resort of Abersoch and the picturesque village of Portmeirion. Come rain, snow or shine – there’s always something to do.
Caernarfon Castle
Set in the picturesque town of Caernarfon, a 20-minute drive away from West Point Holiday Park, the castle is open daily and it is considered one of the most impressive of all castles in Wales. The royal fortress was built on legends and bitter medieval conflict and the impressive Eagle Tower is a must-see when you go to visit.
The Royal Welch Fusiliers Regimental Museum
Museums are the ideal place to visit on a rainy day and we highly recommend The Royal Welch Fusiliers Regimental Museum is housed in the two towers of Caernarfon Castle. Here, you’ll find an abundance of original exhibits, supported by film, sound and models, which tell the story of over 300 years of service by Wales’ oldest infantry regiment, all around the world.
Anglesey Sea Zoo
Aquariums make for a fabulous day indoors for all the family to enjoy. Anglesey Sea Zoo is a straightforward half hour trip from West Point – just follow the brown lobster signs from the A55 onto Anglesey!
Walking
Walking is now considered better than running, and with the right clothing and equipment, it can be enjoyed all year round. West Point Beach Resort is in the perfect location for walking as we are surrounded by walking routes in Snowdonia and a number of idyllic beaches. We recommend taking a stroll along Dinas Dinlle beach where you can enjoy the sea breeze and a fantastic view of the Snowdonia Mountain Range.
There is so much for you to do and see in North Wales, and buying a holiday home in the area means you can return over and over again!
