1) Dinas Emrys
These are the ancient oakwoods which make up Dinas Emrys, a densely populated forest with hidden secrets. It’s home to wildlife and nature-lovers alike.
2) Coed Gwydir
Coed Gwydir is a large forest that is part of the village of Betws-y-Coed. There are many paths that lead into this beautiful space, but it can be accessed easily from the main street. During winter months the woods are popular with walkers for their ability to offer peace and serenity despite being so close to town.
3) Coed Felenrhyd & Llennyrch
Visitors often have a hard time finding this woodland, never fear, just follow this map. The unique forest is full of Atlantic oak trees.
4) Coed Aber Artro
Coed Aber Artro is a beautiful woodland, brimming with bluebell flowers in the spring. This forest is managed by the Woodland Trust and is situated a short distance from the town of Bangor. There are free entry points for parking, access paths and toilets. This forest makes for an idyllic day out with children and pets alike.
5) Coed y Brenin
Coed y Brenin is one of the UK’s best mountain biking centres with trails for the whole family, catering for every level of experience. If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground then there are plenty of woodland walks along well-maintained paths where you can admire stunning views. These stunning views are all available in one location!
