Winter Walks and Birdwatching at North Wales Holiday Park

Winter is a fantastic time to visit the area, blow away a few cobwebs and lift the soul with a walk around the nature reserve nearby to the West Point Beach Resort at Pontllfyni – Foryd Bay. an area of salt marsh that is designated as SSSI is a wonderful place to view a variety of birds. During winter the whole area, including a salt marshes south of the bay, are teeming with a wide variety of ducks and waders including flocks of widgeon, plus shellducks, oystercatchers, curlews and lapwing, and a sprinkling of other species such as ringed plover, redshank and greenshank.
