As Spring starts springing and Winter begins to wilt away, it’s time to look forward to some of the fantastic events you can enjoy at Galeri Caernarfon near your coastal holiday parks in Snowdonia.
Following on from the previous instalment at the end of the month, An Evening of Dance on the 1st of April is going to be a lot of fun for the children involved as they showcase their skills just for fun. For just £5 per head, you can be entertained by these young guns showing off their moves from breakdance to ballet.
Are you fan of cultural folk music? Then you’ll definitely revel in Song Chain on the 4th of April. Ten traditional singers from all across Wales come together to celebrate their love for their genre with the likes of Gwyneth Glyn and Robert Evans all eager to delight on stage. From as little as £11, you can explore the ties that bind different forms of music together.
A special screening of Inside Llewyn Davis sets the tone for a music themed month on the 2nd of April before the hotly-anticipated Under Milk Wood: An Opera comes to Galeri Caernarfon on the 15th of April. Surrounding the life and times of revered Welsh playwright Dylan Thomas, this performance arranged by John Metcalf is available to you from £15.
The big hitter for April however has to undoubtedly be the Wales International Harp Festival: a superb six day occasion which is all about the most beautiful of all instruments. You can expect Welsh names on the billing as well as international stars with there being plenty of opportunities for masterclasses with harp experts from the 20th to 26th of April. Tickets start from as little as £30 for the whole event.
If you’re after a day out at the cinema then Galeri Caernarfon also has something for you as the range of movies showing is quite eclectic. They include: Free Birds (13th of April), La Boheme (13th of April), A Matter of Life and Death (17th of April), A Night At the Opera (23rd of April) and The Invisible Woman (30th of April).
